An APPROVED stamp is the quickest way to record a sign-off when a full e-signature workflow is overkill. Think timesheets, expense claims, purchase requests, design proofs and shop drawings.
Make the approval meaningful
- Date it. Turn on Today's date.
- Say who approved it. Use the reference field for initials and a role, for example "RC – Finance".
- Pick one spot and stick to it. For drawings, the convention is near the title block in the bottom right. Drag the stamp there and use a smaller size.
- Approve the final version only. Stamp the exact PDF you're approving, not an earlier draft.
Approved vs signed
A stamp records a decision. It isn't a cryptographic signature. For contracts that need legally binding signatures, use a proper e-signature service. For internal approvals and client proofs, a dated stamp is usually enough.
